Went out on thursday morning to handle near the big wet(georgion bay) but only saw a very small go of 5. I undergo never hunted for geese there before but i know in the spring the area was flooded with geese(during the turkey hunt). We hunted a pretty large field where the grain was harvested next to unharvested feed fields a really nice spot but nothing was flying and really didnt see anything anywhere in the area. Unfortunately its a 3 hr drive for me and it is difficult for me to observe. I noticed most of the feed in the area was still up and anticipate that it ordain get better once the corn is drink. Anybody out there familiar with the area know when the birds start flying a little more?When do the northern birds generally hit that area? Any help would be much appreciated.
